I sold my book – actually, I sold two books! On August 6, 2018 I signed a contract for two novels with DAW publishing in New York. The first one, my debut novel, is entitled Mazes of Power.
Mazes of Power chronicles the lives of three young men from the underground city of Pelismara, who are drawn into a struggle for power over the highly stratified Varin society. Tagaret and Nekantor are noble brothers, and both eligible to participate in the competition for Heir to the Throne: Tagaret sees the competition as a way to get the power to help his abused mother and marry the girl he loves, while Nekantor is obsessed with their family’s success and how it will advance them to greater power. Aloran is a young man of the Imbati servant caste, brought in to serve as bodyguard for their mother, who gets caught up in the competition and the struggle to keep all the family members safe.
I’m in edits right now, about to deliver the manuscript very soon… and at the same time, I’m working on the sequel. So excited!
